Personal Independence Payment (PIP)

For those of you who may struggle financially or just need that extra financial help with things, there is a welfare benefit that you can claim which helps with extra costs when living with disabilities and health conditions.  The Personal Independence Payment (PIP) is available for you.  I have found it incredibly helpful as over the years I have needed help with certain payments such as medication and transport and other aspects and this has helped me to cover them.

The forms are very long to fill out and you have to provide as much evidence as you can to confirm your disability, there are two parts to the PIP, these are the daily living part which helps the individual with the day to day tasks and the mobility part which helps with moving around.

The daily living part will take into account how much you need help with things like eating, dressing, medication, talking etc and the mobility part assess how much you need help with things like moving around and leaving your house.

You can either call the PIP phone number or complete the forms online.  Here is the link - https://www.gov.uk/pip/how-to-claim
